Ever young !!

• He is a composer and maestro whose music is timeless. 

• His music is not some kind of pop music that will vanish from people's memory. It lingers in our hearts forever.

• He is a human being from a humble background  who says he is just a drop in an ocean called music. But he is an ocean himself.

• He can create moods of seasons with his music. He can bring rain, moonlight, rays of sunlight, morning mist and cool breeze into your heart no matter wherever you are.

• He will not work for just big films but makes every film he works grand with his excellent music.

• He is a person who inspired and influenced people, cutting across classes, regions, religions and languages, with just his music.

• He can touch our emotions and make us laugh, cry, feel scary, dance with his songs and back ground music.

• He showed people how back ground music should be scored. He is THE trend setter in symphony and fusion.

• He can use no instruments or thousand instruments in a song but still magic remains same.

• He is a composer with whom world's greatest artists will feel excited to collaborate. Be it Chaurasia or Bhimsen Joshi or U.Shrinivas or Budapest Orchestra.

• His combination with directors like K.Viswanath, Adoor Gopalakrsihan, Bharathi Raja, Balachander, Balu Mahdendra, Fazil, Vamsy, Priyadarshan, Shankar Nag, Kamal Hassan, Mani Ratnam, Raghavendra Rao and Singeetham created wonders in film music.

• He may be or may not be called as a gift to international music from India but he is definitely a gift to people in South.

• His music is a religion and it really does not matter if GOD does not get Oscar.

• His music, irrespective of language, is favourite to all youngsters in South. 

• His music is an addiction with a positive effect.

I can not list all his songs I like. It will be "number tends to t infinity".

There can be many forms of music : carnatic classical, hindustani classical, devotional, western classical, folk, rock, jazz, blues, pop. There is one music that does a fine fusion of all and that is his music. Because, he is wonderful artist who accepts that inspiration for his music comes from nature.

His name is Ilaiyaraja meaning YOUNG KING but he is an emperor giving music that is EVER YOUNG and EVER EMOTIONAL.
